Benevolence
We,
at Pecan Grove Church, believe in providing help for
both spiritual and physical needs in our community. We believe in
following Christ's examples and the apostle's teachings as guides to
how we are to meet those needs (I John 3:17, Gal 2:10, Gal 6:9-10). The
Benevolence committee of Pecan Grove Church is charged with the
stewardship of the funds dedicated to benevolence and we recognize that
these funds come from the blessings that the Lord has given us. The
purpose of the fund is to minister to individuals or families during a
time of hardship or crisis by temporarily assisting them with their
basic needs. Our decisions are made in accordance with the mandates of
Scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit to determine what
constitutes a
true need. We encourage our members to help others
directly as they become aware of a specific need.
